5 great sci-fi books that will tickle your funny bone, too!

Some of the most fun I’ve ever had reading books are in the sci-fi/humor category. Think Douglas Adams for the overt humor, but sometimes the sly humor is even better – almost more in the Doctor Who approach. My love for the genre is why I chose to write in it.

There’s a new site that is going to stand toe-to-toe with Goodreads to provide a much better reader experience called Shepherd.com. Goodreads does almost nothing to help authors meet readers or find fantastic books. At the same time, Amazon sells books the same way they sell toothpaste (hint – it isn’t very exciting). A book is an experience, and the process of finding a book is part of that experience.

Shepherd.com wants to reimagine book discovery online with more serendipity and delight.

So head over and check out my list!

You’ll find some pretty cool curated lists there, too. Here’s one I found really good:

The best science fiction books where ordinary people survive the extraordinary

Bookmark the site, it’s definitely a place you’ll want to use to find new books!
